How to make a good recording
How to record
Modern smartphones are incredibly good at recording voices, far better than they were even ten years ago. So if you have a smartphone, you're already using a device that's more than capable of making excellent recordings.
If you don't have a voice recorder app on your phone already, I recommend Voice Recorder Pro, although there are plenty of other good recording apps available. Voice Recorder Pro includes editing tools and makes it easy to email or upload your recordings.
Sound quality is the most important part!
The closer your phone or microphone is to your mouth, the better your recording will usually sound. However, you don't want the microphone directly in front of your mouth. Breathing directly into the mic creates wind noise, which can sound distracting and sometimes bad enough to ruin an otherwise great recording.
A good place to set your phone is on the edge of a table next to your bed or chair.
Another sound to avoid is sucking air in through your teeth. It can be surprisingly loud and screechy in a recording.
The easiest way to prevent both problems is to position your phone slightly to one side of your face so your breath doesn't hit it directly. It's worth making a short test recording first to make sure everything sounds good.
And try not to move or bump your phone, laptop, or microphone while you're recording. Even small movements can create surprisingly loud thumps and scraping noises. If your phone is resting on your bed, be careful not to shift it or let blankets or pillows rub against it during the recording.
Keep background noise to a minimum whenever possible. Turning off the TV or radio is a good idea. Background music is fine if that's part of what you're creating, as long as it isn't so loud that it competes with your voice.

What you record is up to you.
For many listeners, hearing someone talk is the biggest appeal, depending on what they’re saying. Some enjoy role-play or seduction recordings that create a sense of connection with the listener.
You can also make a recording of just your sounds, with or without talking. Keep in mind people want to hear you. Be sure to make some noise.
I suggest you relax and lean into the moment. Don't worry about being perfect. Express yourself, enjoy what you're doing, and let your personality come through. That's often what people connect with most.
